Pacific Harvest Wakame Leaves - Wild are harvested from the South Island of New Zealand, dried naturally and tested for contaminants. With a subtle flavour it can be used as any green vegetable is used to complement a meal, in salads, stir fries or soups. 

Wild harvested, air dried to preserve colour and nutrients and tested for contaminants.

The fine white powder which may be evident on this seaweed is glutamine, a naturally occurring amino acid which rises to the surface of a wild harvested seaweed as it dries naturally. This is the source of wonderful umami flavour in wild harvested seaweeds and is not to be confused with mould!
